Privacy

This site sets no cookies, and its one script only remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme, stored in your own browser; I don't collect anything about you. The only record of a visit is the host's: Netlify keeps ordinary server logs (the address a request came from, the page it asked for, the time) for a short period to run the service; I read them only when something breaks. Downloads work the same way: a free download on the Tools page is a file from this site, with no account and no email, and anything for paid subscribers opens on Substack. Links to Substack leave this site, and Substack's own privacy policy and terms govern what happens there, including your subscription.

My forms run on Tally, and your answers go to me through it. Most ask for your email only if you want a reply. The glossary form on the Orientation page asks for it to send you the glossary: one email, nothing after it, and I'll delete your address if you ask. That form sits inside the page, so when you scroll near it your browser loads it from Tally, along with Tally's error reporting (Sentry) and its font, from Google Fonts. It sets no cookies.

What is sold

I write Ty's Newsletter on Substack. Subscribing is free. A paid tier exists, monthly or annual; what it includes and what it costs are on the subscribe page. The downloads on the Tools page are free; if one is ever only for paid subscribers, its card says so and it opens on Substack. I also work with small businesses through the practice described on Work with me; the first conversation is free.

Cancellations and refunds

A paid subscription renews until you cancel it, which you can do at any time in your Substack account; access lasts to the end of the period you paid for.

Monthly subscriptions can be refunded within 7 days, the tools remain yours.

Unlocking a subscriber perk on Substack makes the subscription non-refundable; Substack asks you to acknowledge that before it unlocks.

Payments

Payments are taken by Stripe through Substack. This site takes no payment and handles no card details.

How the images are made

The course covers, the course insignia, and the portrait on About are generated in Figma Weave from my prompts, the portrait from a photo of me; I pick each one and finish it. They are designed, not drawn by hand. The diagrams are drawn from their source files. Screenshots are real and unedited, cropped, with private details blocked out.
